Ellen completed the dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Toronto, where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Psychology and Cognitive Science.
During undergrad, Ellen worked in multiple psychology labs at CAMH and the University of Toronto, as a Research Assistant and later as Lab Manager. Some of her roles included running studies, managing multi-million-dollar research grants and showcasing research to media.
During law school, Ellen was Teaching Assistant to the first year Comparative Legal Research and Writing course and Research Assistant to Associate Dean Gemma Smyth. She also completed an externship under Judge Patricia P. Fresard, the Presiding Judge of the Civil Division in the Third Judicial Court of Michigan. Additionally, Ellen was a student attorney at the University of Detroit Mercy Immigration Law Clinic. She also participated in the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition and the Windsor Law Canadian Moot Court Competition.
Ellen grew up spending time in Vancouver, Seoul, Denver, and Sydney. In her spare time, she enjoys stadium concerts, watching films, and trying new foods around the city
