Mark Alexander, Co-lead of our National Construction Litigation group, focuses on construction disputes, insurance and commercial litigation.\u00a0He acts on behalf of owners, contractors and subcontractors in disputes arising from construction and engineering projects involving claims of breach of contract, delays and liquidated damages, deficiency claims, builders’ liens, bonding, and warranty disputes. Mark’s insurance practice notably involves professional negligence, representing architects, engineers, and manufacturers in various claims. With experience across Alberta’s courts and in arbitrations, Mark excels in mediations and complex construction dispute resolutions.<\/p>\n
Mark has written or collaborated on publications addressing a number of topics across his areas of practice, including jurisdiction exemptions, venue selection in Alberta claims, and liability clauses in construction.<\/p>\n
Mark is a member of various legal associations. He has been recognized in many legal sector publications and directories, including Lexpert Rising Stars and The Best Lawyers in Canada for Construction Law and Litigation.
