Kent Anderson brings over 40 years of transaction and litigation experience in business, corporate, environmental, and oil and gas law. His diverse experience spans trial and appellate courts, regulatory boards, and commercial arbitration with an emphasis on technical, scientific, financial, and accounting matters. Kent’s clients include oil and gas producers, agri-businesses, local and global product and service suppliers to the resource extraction industries, and other businesses. In 1987, Kent became a founding partner and the initial managing partner of the Calgary office of our predecessor firm. He later led our Calgary litigation practice, and then our Calgary corporate practice. From 2009 to 2013 he was the managing partner of Miller Thomson’s Calgary office and a member of the firm’s National Executive Committee.<\/p>\n
Kent currently serves as a Board member and President for Riverside Tower 2 Condominium Corporation, and has participated in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer and Tour Alberta for Cancer fund raising cycling events every year since 2014. Kent previously served as a director of a publicly listed and several private corporations in the oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n
Kent spent several years in the oil and gas industry, gaining valuable upstream experience. Earlier in his career, Kent worked on drilling rigs and in seismic field operations, giving him a strong working knowledge of field operations.
