Evan returns to Miller Thomson as an articling student after completing a summer placement with the firm in 2023, followed by a second placement with the in-house counsel team of a large Edmonton-based construction company in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Evan obtained obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2025. During law school, Evan was named to the Dean\u2019s List and received the 2025 Odishaw Family Prize in Techniques in Negotiation. He also competed in the 2025 Davies Corporate\/Securities Moot and the 2024 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot, earning the runner-up respondent factum award in the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to law school, Evan completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta. He then worked in the construction industry in various roles, including project management for a large heavy civil contractor, owner\u2019s representative at an international consulting firm, and partner in a boutique residential contracting company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his spare time, Evan enjoys staying active with fitness, golf, and skiing. He also enjoys following sports, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
