In her time at the University of Ottawa, Tamara particpated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, served as an executive member of the Health Law Students Association, and was a research assistant and Sant\u00e9ship Fellow with the Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics. Her work focused on international policies relating to global health equity and domestic policies surrounding regulation of healthcare technology.
