\nA large part of the population will experience mental health issues or have family members or other loved ones struggling with impaired mental health. This is also true of addiction disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly elected government of Alberta has promised to continue to take steps to expand and implement a \u201ctreatment\u201d model to address the needs of persons with severe substance use disorders, many of whom suffer from concurrent mental disorders and other challenges to improved health and well-being. Alberta\u2019s voluntary recovery-oriented treatment based approach to addiction has shown early signs of success.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
