Miller Thomson welcomes two lawyers to its Tax group, bringing additional experience in corporate tax, private client services, and tax dispute resolution. Their arrival supports the Firm\u2019s continued focus on serving clients with complex tax matters in Canada and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathryn Walker<\/a> joined the Firm on July 7 as a Partner in the Corporate Tax<\/a> group in Toronto<\/a>. She brings extensive experience in domestic and cross-border income tax matters, with a focus on strategic tax planning for corporations and financial institutions. With a background in law and economics, she has advised on complex transactions involving debt restructuring and cryptocurrency taxation. She is also a regular contributor to publications on tax law developments and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the International Fiscal Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Wong<\/a> joined the Firm on July 21 as Counsel in the Private Client Services<\/a> group in Vancouver<\/a>. He brings significant experience in Canadian income tax matters, with a focus on estate planning, wealth management, corporate reorganizations, and cross-border investment. Fluent in Cantonese and English, he regularly advises high-net-worth individuals and families, including clients from Hong Kong and parts of China, on tax-efficient strategies to preserve and repatriate wealth. His work includes advising on non-resident trust structures, voluntary disclosures, and resolving disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
