On March 30, 2021, Deloitte Canada (\u201cDeloitte\u201d) acquired a leading artificial intelligence and data integration firm, Groundswell Group Inc. (\u201cGroundwell\u201d) to increase its ability to serve clients from Western Canada across major growth areas of artificial intelligence and cloud transformation. Groundswell will enhance the firm\u2019s critical digital transformation capabilities\u2014including machine learning, intelligent automation and cloud data engineering\u2014which have accelerated due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Deloitte provides audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services to public and private clients spanning multiple industries.<\/p>\n

Miller Thomson advised Deloitte on the transaction with a team comprised of Max Spearn and Luigi Valente (Corporate\/M&A; Technology), as well as Karen Durell (Intellectual
