Jamie Fischer

Biography description

Jamie is completing his law degree at the University of Alberta. Before attending law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University in Idaho. During his undergraduate studies and before starting law school, Jamie worked in various fields, from sales to educating children on the autism spectrum.

In law school, Jamie has been actively involved in various activities, including the Sports Law Association, where he has participated in networking and student social events to help build community and expand the association’s presence at the University of Alberta. He has also volunteered with Student Legal Services, assisting underprivileged individuals in accessing the legal help they need.

Jamie cherishes every opportunity to serve the community in which he lives. Jamie’s time living abroad while serving a mission for his church helped him develop a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of individuals and communities. He has carried those values into serving Calgary by participating in the yearly Calgary Food Bank drive as a route coordinator and organizer.

In his spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching hockey, and playing volleyball and golf.
