Susan Manwaring spoke on “What’s New in the World of Charity Regulation” at the Philanthropic Foundations Canada 2014 Conference held on October 21, 2014 in Halifax, NS;

Miller Thomson’s Southwestern Ontario Not-for-Profit Charities Group hosted a Charities and Not-for-Profit Client Breakfast Seminar held in Cambridge, Ontario on October 21, 2014. Presentations included the following:

Gillian Tuck Kutama – CASL and Privacy update – Developing a Due Diligence Checklist;
Amanda Stacey – Navigating the New Rules Governing Estate Gifts; and
Andrew Valentine – Update on Current CRA Compliance Issues.

Susan Manwaring spoke on “Advocacy to Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations” at the World Wildlife Fund workshop held on October 22, 2014 in Ottawa, ON.
