Kate Lazier was elected Vice President of the Charity and Not-For-Profit Section of the Ontario Bar Association on November 24, 2016.

Karima Kanani is presenting to the Ontario Community Support Association on the topic of “Corporate Integration – The Legal Process” on November 29, 2016.

Susan Manwaring and Brendan Burns are speaking at two Grant Thornton LLP presentations in Vancouver and Victoria entitled “Succeeding Beyond the Box” on December 5, 2016 and December 6, 2016.

Sarah Fitzpatrick is speaking on a panel for the “BC Canadian Bar Association, Charities and Not-For-Profit Law Section, Societies Act Q&A Panel” on December 8, 2016.

On November 30, the Social Impact Group will host The Future of Toronto Arts Leadership Symposium. This event will bring together over 80 young professionals who support arts organizations in Toronto, as well as esteemed panelists from those organizations, to discuss philanthropy and engagement of young people in the arts.
