Charities and Giving – New Digital Service

June 13, 2019

Rosie Fiorentino (Law Clerk)

The Canada Revenue Agency Charities Directorate launched its new digital services for charities offered through a new system called My Business Account, on June 1, 2019. Registered charities can now, among other things, apply for charitable registration, complete and file their T3010 Registered Charity Information Return and update information on file with the Charities Directorate. An authorized representative, such as a lawyer, can be authorized by a charity and be granted access to view, update and file information on record on behalf of the charity.
