MTech® Program

In 2006, Miller Thomson launched the MTech program, which has helped hundreds of early-stage companies achieve their objectives and grow.  As part of this program, we work closely with startup teams on all aspects of the planning, creation and operations of emerging businesses, from formation and corporate records to equity compensation planning and advice on employment and business agreements.  Our goal is to provide clients with flexible business structures that incorporate essential protections for founders and other personnel, with an eye on making companies “investor ready” and positioning them for future growth.

Investor Services

Miller Thomson frequently acts for angel investors and venture capital funds in connection with their investments in emerging businesses. Our depth of experience enables us to provide practical, solution oriented advice. Miller Thomson is accustomed to working with U.S. based venture capital funds, including providing advice regarding Canadian legal issues and deal terms. We are also closely affiliated with a number of angel groups who are active in the emerging business sector.
