Tari is a civil litigation lawyer who provides practical and efficient advice to clients in a wide variety of industries. Tari has an eye for the details and the interpretation of statutes that can change the outcome of her clients’ cases.
Tari’s general litigation practice focuses on occupational health and safety, health law, privacy, and the regulation of professionals. Tari has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, including judicial dispute resolution. She also represented employers before the Alberta Workers Compensation Board and the Alberta Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner.
In her occupational health and safety practice, Tari advises clients across Western Canada on compliance with occupational health and safety laws at the provincial and federal level, as well as manufacturer and vendor compliance with Alberta’s Safety Codes Act and Regulations. Tari assists clients with workplace incident management, reporting obligations, defence of charges, and WCB matters.
Tari spent nearly a decade with another national law firm, providing advice and support to regulated professionals facing complaints from the public and disciplinary proceedings, defending criminal charges against regulated professionals, defending charges laid under occupational health and safety legislation, and defending personal injury claims for medical malpractice.
Tari volunteers as president of a non-profit society that fundraises to support a local elementary school in Edmonton and has previously served as a board member to a theatre advisory board for a small city in Alberta.
