Sarah DeGenova is an associate in our Business Law - Corporate, M&A and Securities Group in Toronto. Sarah is building a general corporate law practice, focusing on capital markets, securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
Sarah has experience representing public issuers, underwriters and private companies in a variety of transactions, including prospectus offerings, private placements and acquisitions and dispositions of shares and assets.
Sarah obtained her Juris Doctor from Western Law. During her time at Western Law, Sarah received several awards recognizing academic distinction including the Baker & McKenzie Award in International Business Transactions, the Law Society of Ontario Prize, the C.C.H. Canadian Limited Prize and the J.G. McSorley Scholarship in Family Law. Prior to law school, Sarah obtained an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Prior to joining our firm, Sarah interned with the Insolvency & Debt Resolution Team of the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. She also has experience in the financial services industry, having worked for major Canadian chartered banks.
