Overview

Mykelti St-Louis holds the position of Lawyer as part of Miller Thomson LLP’s General Counsel Office.

As a trusted advisor, he supports the General Counsel to provide strategic advice in all aspects of risk management and the Firm’s compliance policies and procedures.

Mykelti has the mandate of bolstering compliance while minimizing risk in all respects of the Firm’s practices. Fluent in French and English, Mykelti is able to further assist in providing support to the General Counsel and to the Firm’s partners and administrative professionals on a national scale.

Mykelti understands the practical dealings of risk and liability and applies his substantive working knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct in all respects of his work. His previous experience in Civil Litigation has also awarded him the ability to break down complex legal issues and to effectively deal with them in a practical and professional manner.

Mykelti joined a boutique law firm in Hamilton, Ontario in 2021 as an Articling Student to complete his licensing requirements and joined the firm as an Associate upon his call to the bar in June 2022.

After completing his bilingual (French and English) undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, he attended the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law to complete a French Juris Doctor (French).

Mykelti has experience helping clients with a broad range of issues. His practice areas include Corporate/ Commercial law, Wills, Trusts & Estates Law, Estate Litigation, and Civil Litigation. He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and various administrative tribunals.
