Matthew maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation. He has acted in construction law matters, commercial and residential real estate disputes, shareholder disputes, trusts disputes, Aboriginal law, employment, and bankruptcy and insolvency matters. Matthew has experience with trials, appeals, examinations for discovery, motions, settlement conferences, mediations, and arbitration. Matthew helps his clients find cost-effective and business-oriented solutions to meet their goals.
Prior to joining Miller Thomson Matthew practiced commercial litigation at a major regional firm in Edmonton, Alberta and previously articled at an insurance defence firm in Toronto.
During law school Matthew served as Co-President of the Litigation Association and also acted as a Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review.
