Overview
Martine Pelchat is a Paralegal and Special Projects Lead in Miller Thomson’s Montréal office.
As Special Projects Lead, Martine manages important national projects for Business Group paraprofessionals in all offices of Miller Thomson. In collaboration with the Paraprofessional Management team, Martine is responsible for finding solutions to encourage greater efficiencies in terms of the effort, process and reporting involved in, inter alia, corporate data management systems, paraprofessional training, precedents and fixed fees, which will translate into higher efficiencies and revenue growth. As Special Projects Lead, Martine is also a key reference and supplier of business paraprofessional mentoring and development-related information.
With over three decades of experience as a corporate paralegal, Martine additionally brings strong experience with computerized data management systems. She also provides support to the Corporate M&A and Tax lawyers in the Montréal office, assisting in complex corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, lending transactions and tax reorganizations. Furthermore, Martine participates in the preparation of registrations, renewals, notices of amendments, and other required lobbying documents, both federally and provincially.
Martine has valuable experience as Corporate and Financial Services supervisor within a national law firm.
