Kelly Starrak is an experienced real estate and business lawyer in Miller Thomson’s Calgary office. She is called in both Alberta and British Columbia and has a broad background in real estate and corporate-commercial law. Kelly has considerable experience in First Nations land development and economic development matters. She regularly advises on acquisitions, leasing, property development and regulatory matters, and acts in an ongoing advisory role for an active First Nation government in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and a First Nation – Developer partnership near Calgary, Alberta, amongst others. She previously worked for the legal department of a quasi-judicial Alberta government tribunal in respect of subdivision and development appeals, and for several Vancouver-based businesses in a non-legal capacity.
Kelly is a member of Miller Thomson’s Recruiting Committee and has assisted the Legal Education Society of Alberta by teaching Interviewing and Advising courses to articling students in the Continuing Professional Legal Education Development program.
