Honor Lay is building a practice focused on trust and estate planning. She has experience drafting a variety of trust, estate, and tax planning documents as well as assisting on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions. Honor is qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Honor received her J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2019. While in law school, Honor worked as a tax law research assistant. Honor also volunteered at the London Community Legal Services Clinic and as a mentor to first-year law students. Honor was awarded the Dean’s Certification in Legal French, the Dean of Law Scholarship, and the Edna Yuet Lui Chan Memorial Award.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Honor obtained a Master of Arts in History at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and French at McGill University.

Honor was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020 after having worked at Miller Thomson as a summer student and articling student.
