Gwenyth Stadig is an associate in Miller Thomson’s Tax practice group with a primary focus in Social Impact. She finds this incredibly rewarding. She also works with the Private Client Services and Business practice groups to uniquely serve clients local to Southwestern Ontario.

As part of the Social Impact group Gwenyth focuses her practice on assisting charities and non-profits - as well as organizations hoping to become charities or non-profits - with a variety of matters relating to their unique needs in the sector. Charities and non-profits active in the sector must comply with complex regulatory frameworks which include corporate governance, tax compliance, and trust law considerations. Gwenyth assists her Social Impact clients in navigating the aspects of the complex regulatory environment relevant to them. She specifically provides tailored advice relating to incorporations, corporate governance, charitable registration and revocation questions, general advice regarding the applicability of legislation for charities and non-profits in the sector, reporting and record keeping obligations, as well as operating in foreign jurisdictions, and structuring complex gift agreements.
