Desmond Christy is building his business law practice, focusing on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. He has experience working in a variety of areas including private mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, securities regulation and public offerings.
Desmond was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 after summering and articling at Miller Thomson LLP. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During his time at law school, Desmond served as an associate and assistant editor for two seperate journals, each dealing with a number of areas of interdisciplinary legal analysis in corporate, securities, intellectual property and international law.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Desmond obtained an Honours B.A. (Specialist Political Science) from the University of Toronto with High Distinction, earning recognition for academic excellence through the University of Toronto Scholars Program.
