Overview

Christine de Lint is a Senior Trademark Agent and Regulatory Paralegal in the Marketing, Advertising and Regulatory Law Group bringing over 20 years of experience in the trademark/brands field from three top tier law firms and Canada’s most globally recognized technology company.

Christine handles the trademark portfolios for clients in a variety of industries, dealing with all aspects of trademark agency work including clearance, filing and prosecution of applications, licensing, maintenance, settlement negotiations, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademarks Office and Opposition Board, as well as the filing, protection and maintenance of international trademark portfolios.

Christine also assists clients with regulatory review, compliance and approval matters relating to new product launches, packaging, labelling, marketing and advertising materials in the alcohol, food, beverage, cannabis, natural health, gaming, clothing, children’s and consumer products space.

Christine also has significant experience with the intellectual property aspects of commercial transactions including due diligence, preparation of assignments, licenses and recordals relating thereto.

Christine studied economics and sociology for three years at the University of Toronto, completed the law clerk/paralegal program with honours at Mohawk College in 1996 and qualified as a Registered Trademark Agent in 2000.
