Overview
Brian is an Associate in Miller Thomson’s Health Industry and Litigation practice groups and has experience in the fields of civil litigation, health law, and commercial litigation.
While an articling student at Miller Thomson, Brian appeared on behalf of clients at the Office of Residential Tenancies, Small Claims Court, and in Queen’s Bench Civil Chambers. He also juniored on hearings before the Automobile Injury Appeal Commission, Discipline Committee hearings held under the Model Practitioner Staff Bylaws as well as summary judgment applications and civil jury trials at the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench.
Brian attended law school at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law. Prior to law school, Brian obtained his Bachelor of Human Justice and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2010, both with distinction, from the University of Regina. During Brian’s time at the U of R he was on the varsity wrestling team and was a 3-time Academic All-Canadian during his undergrad.
During his time in law school he was a finalist in the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition in November 2015, a Managing Editor of the Caveat Lector, the student newspaper at the College of Law and a 2-time representative of the U of S College of Law at Law Games.
Outside of work Brian tries to maintain a semblance of his former athleticism, spend time with his friends and family, and travel to warmer destinations.
