The province of Alberta is holding a consultation period for its condo legislation. The consultation period allows for proposed amendments to the legislation, which was first introduced in 1966 and hasn’t seen any changes since the mid-90’s.
Robert Noce, condominium lawyer with Miller Thomson’s Edmonton office, was quoted as saying: “In terms of buying a new condo to starting a condominium corporation to running the condominium corporation, there are some clarifying points that I think will be helpful to everyone involved in the condominium industry.”
