June 25, 2013 | Kent H. Davidson | Calgary

As you know, the City of Calgary has experienced a dramatic natural disaster.   The waters of the Bow and Elbow Rivers have engulfed significant portions of the City, causing extensive damage to the downtown core.  Fortunately, the office building from which Miller Thomson LLP carries on its practice has not been directly affected by the flood.   Our lawyers are able to continue serving your legal needs from our offices without significant interruption, and we expect that our full complement of staff will be returning to work tomorrow.  We are not anticipating that client service will be negatively affected during the recovery and restoration process.

We are mindful of the devastation which has been witnessed by the City and the losses of many of our citizens.   We hope that you and your families have remained safe and that your losses have not been catastrophic.  There will be much hard work ahead for all of us as we restore the City to its characteristic vitality and beauty.  But Calgarians will doubtless be up for the challenge.  We will do what we can to assist.
