The partners and staff of Miller Thomson are greatly saddened by the passing of our good friend and colleague, Fred McBeth, Q.C., on October 31, 2014.
Fred spent his entire legal career at Miller Thomson and Balfour Moss. He began articling with the Firm in 1971 after graduation from the University of Saskatchewan. During his time here, he went from Articling Student, to Associate, to Partner and in the last few years he was Associate Counsel. Fred spent many years in management of the Balfour Moss firm, which merged with Miller Thomson in 2010.
Fred was a talented lawyer who was always committed to his clients and his Firm. He worked tirelessly and truly enjoyed the practise of law right to the day when his health prevented him from carrying on that practise.
As a Firm, we are stronger for the years of commitment, dedication, hard work and service that Fred provided to his clients and his colleagues at the Firm. There is a large number of young lawyers who learned so much while working with Fred. Fred will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and colleagues and especially by everyone in the Saskatchewan offices.
