Bill Pigott is quoted in the Windsor Star regarding the city’s new aquatic centre RFP.

In the article, “No bidders meet aqua centre RFP,” Mayor Eddie Francis says construction on the downtown aquatic centre will begin in January 2012, despite a setback in the selection of a firm to design and build the project. None of the six bidders were able to meet the project’s scope and timeline. Therefore, Miller Thomson will be drafting the new aquatic centre’s RFP.

“We’ll be looking in the prequalification for an architect that has actually built one of these joint centres before and with a team that supports them of various consulting engineers who have done this kind of work,” says Bill Pigott.
