Barbara R. C. Doherty has been named the winner of a Lawyer Monthly 2014 Women in Law Award.
Following the success of its long established Legal Awards and Leading Lawyer 250, Lawyer Monthly created the first annual Women in Law Awards to celebrate and highlight the achievements of women in the legal profession across the globe. The lawyers recognized followed five months of research to identify female legal experts who have influenced the wider legal profession in their jurisdiction. To determine winners, nominations were accepted online. Each vote was compared against a strict set of measurable criteria in order to produce a list of finalists and the eventual winners.
