In an
article in The Globe and Mail, Alan Hobkirk, now a partner at Miller Thomson in
Vancouver, recounts his turn as captain of Canada’s field hockey team at the
1976 Summer Olympics held in Montreal. 

“After
the Montreal Games, he continued with his sporting career, kept on hitting the
law books, got on with his life. Only with the passing of years has he come to
fully appreciate the experience.”
