Transitioning employees back into the workplace or into permanent remote work

You are cordially invited to the Miller Thomson labour and employment law Quebec mid-year client conference.

During the conference, our panelists will discuss and provide insight into the following topics:

  • Preparing for the Post-Pandemic Workplace: During this segment, our panelists will address questions and concerns dealing with the return to in-person work, the right of employers to require same, the duty to accommodate and human rights considerations relating to return-to-work mandates, the future of vaccine and pandemic policies, return to in-person work etiquette and policy refreshers as well tips to managing employee refusals, absenteeism and employee productivity in a post-pandemic context.
  • Remote Work: Our panelists will address questions and concerns dealing with the remote work experience. In particular, we will answer questions concerning the remote workplace environment, health and safety considerations relating to a remote workplace, effective remote work policies and the integration with other employer policies (i.e. IT policies, anti-harassment policies, social media policies, etc.), the employer’s ability to monitor employee productivity and the questions relating to remote work where the employee works from another province or country.
  • Bill 96 and Updates to the Quebec Charter of the French Language: During this portion of the conference, we will address questions and concerns dealing with the new obligations and impacts of Bill 96 as it relates to workplaces in the Province of Quebec.

The conference will be followed by a short Q&A period and participants are invited to submit questions during the conference or in advance at registration.

This conference will be presented in French and English simultaneously.
