New Rules Affecting Construction Law in Ontario
What You Need to Know and the Impact of the Law on Your Business

Miller Thomson’s Construction and Infrastructure Group invites you to a complimentary seminar to walk you through Ontario’s recent and significant reform of its Construction Lien Act, and what it means for all stakeholders in the construction industry conducting business in Ontario.

Whether you are an owner, lender, contractor, subcontractor, design professional or other industry participant, the Act has introduced major changes that will impact how construction projects in Ontario are administered – from modernizing the lien and holdback process to new rules around prompt payment and mandatory adjudication.

Dražen Bulat is a national leader in construction and infrastructure law at Miller Thomson. The focus of Dražen’s practice is the development and drafting of front-end procurement and contract documents, including tender documents, RFPs and different forms of contracts.

Dražen is intimately familiar with the law of procurement as well as the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive and the Construction Lien Act. Dražen represents both owners and contractors/vendors in resolving disputes over a wide variety of issues.
