Coffee Talk: Health Transformation Tuesdays Webinar

Karima Kanani, Andrew Valentine | Toronto

The Connecting Care Act, 2019 came into force on June 6, 2019 and will substantially alter the delivery of health care services in Ontario. Integrated Care Delivery Systems, also known as Ontario Health Teams, will be established across the Province to coordinate the delivery of care across the care continuum and will involve collaboration and integration between charitable and non-charitable non-profit health service providers. Charitable organizations are subject to requirements and restrictions on their undertakings and fundraising activities. To support organizations in designing Ontario Health Team collaborations in a manner that will facilitate the engagement of both charitable and non-charitable organizations, we will be hosting a Coffee Talk – Health Transformation Tuesday webinar on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. entitled “Ontario Health Teams: A Charities Perspective”, presented by Karima Kanani and Andrew Valentine.

This session will cover:

  • Recap of key features of Ontario Health Teams
  • Overview of Charities Law principles
  • Implications for charities and non-charities related to:
    • clinical coordination
    • single funding envelope
    • central brand
    • fundraising

This program is eligible for up to 1.0 Substantive Hour of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). Note: Participants intending to claim LSO CPD credits are required to register individually and participate in the live webinar.

Webinar connection details will be provided in advance of the event.
