Charity Advocacy and the Canada Revenue Agency. Where Are We Now?

October 19, 2017 | Susan M. Manwaring | Montréal

Miller Thomson’s Social Impact Group invites you to its next breakfast seminar at our Montréal office.

Topic discussed:

The Canada Revenue Agency invited a group experts to make recommendations on changes that could be implemented to the rules that apply to activities of charities that involve advocating for legal change. The panel provided its recommendations to the Minister of National Revenue at the end of March. Our partner, Susan Manwaring was a member of the panel that made the recommendations.

In this seminar, Susan will review the issues raised and the recommendations made by the Panel. She will provide information on how charities should consider advocacy today and what changes we hope to see in the future.

Time: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
