In March, Ontario declared a State of Emergency due to the global COVID-19 Pandemic and locked down the Province to curtail the spread, including reducing to minimal levels all non-essential and elective health services. On May 14, 2020, the Government of Ontario announced that it would be commencing the first phase of lifting of restrictions on in-person services delivered by health professionals. As the COVID-19 lockdown lifts, health providers will need to determine their organizational readiness to resume in-person services and develop thorough service resumption plans.

Boards of Directors of health service providers have a critical role to play in enterprise risk oversight of service resumption planning. We will be hosting a Directors Series webinar on June 3, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. entitled A Governance Guide for Health Service Resumption: What Directors Need to Know, presented by Karima Kanani.

This session will support Boards of Directors in continuing to navigate their governance duties in COVID-19 and will also provide practical advice to Boards to enable a strategic, thorough and risk-managed approach to service resumption.

This program is eligible for up to 1.0 Substantive Hour of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). Note: Participants intending to claim LSO CPD credits are required to register individually and participate in the live webinar.
