On February 15, 2018, Novacap announced that it was acquiring an interest in Mailhot Industries.
Novacap is a leading Canadian private equity firm with $2.3 billion of assets under management. Mailhot Industries is a manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders employing the latest-generation technology with a plant in Quebec, distribution centres in Edmonton, Alberta, and Nashua, New Hampshire, and a large plant in Mexico.
Miller Thomson advised Mailhot Industries with respect to this transaction with a team led by Hubert Sibre and that included Louis-Philippe Borduas and Isabella Covino (corporate/M&A), Andrew Etcovitch (tax) and numerous others.
