On August 4, 2017, computer games localization specialist Keywords Studios PLC (LON: KWS) announced the acquisitions of La Marque Rose SARL, Asrec SAS and the subsidiary companies of holding company, Dune Media SAS, trading as Dune Sound and Around the Word. The target companies are based in Paris, France and provide audio recording and localization services to the video games industry internationally. (Localization primarily involves translating computer games into the local language and adapting for cultural differences.)
The total aggregate consideration payable was €6.6 million and up to a further €1 million over the two years ending December 31, 2019, based on meeting performance targets for the combined businesses.
