On July 20, 2018, Keywords Studios (“Keywords”) acquired Snowed In Studios for approximately $4 million. Snowed In Studios is an Ottawa-based company that provides engineering and co-development services to the video-game industry. The acquisition will enhance and expand Keywords’ engineering service line into Canada.
Keywords is headquartered in Ireland, and provides technical services to top ranking clients within the games industry.
Miller Thomson advised Keywords’ Canadian subsidiary, Keywords International Corporation Inc., with respect to this transaction with a team comprised of Philipp Park (Corporate/M&A) and Nadia Guizani (Transactions & Leasing).
