On May 31, 2018, FDF Restaurant Brandz (“FDF Brandz”), a leading privately held restaurant franchising company, completed the purchase of the Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria chain for an undisclosed amount.
Led by Ricky’s Group of Family-style restaurants, the addition of approximately 30 Famoso locations in Alberta, BC, Ontario and Saskatchewan brings the total FDF Brandz folio to about 175 franchise restaurant locations. None of the current Famoso locations will close.
Over the next five years, FDF Brandz plans to double the number of Famoso locations in Canada and to grow the brand in the US, UK, Australia, China, India, the Middle East and other international locales.
