On December 17, 2020, the Families First Funeral Home group of companies (“Families First”) was acquired by Service Corporation International (Canada) ULC, an affiliate of Service Corporation International (SCI:NYSE) (“SCI”), a large provider of funeral goods and services. Families First was one of the last family-owned funeral home and funeral services businesses in Windsor, Ontario and serves a large population of families in Essex County.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
