Portrait of Nadim Elkommos

Overview

After completing his summer internship and articles at Miller Thomson, Nadim Elkommos joined the Business Law group as an associate. His practice focuses primarily on financial services as well as transactional and general commercial law.

Having set aside a career in banking to go back to school, Nadim has undertaken the challenge of becoming a lawyer with great enthusiasm.

Perfectly trilingual and learning a fourth language, Spanish, Nadim worked with a wide range of clients in his previous career. His passion for travel and interest in other legal cultures led him to participate in several international summer school programs. He completed a summer program on the European approach to environmental and societal business governance at the Université Aix-Marseille’s Faculty of Law and Political Science. He also participated in the International School of Law and Technology’s summer program on technology law at the Institute for Technology and Society, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Lastly, he completed the summer program on the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement at the Università degli Studi di Milano.

During his undergraduate degree, Nadim volunteered as an intern at the Mile End Legal Clinic, which was an opportunity for him to support access to justice, a mission he holds dear, while discovering the practical aspects of the legal profession.

During his earlier degree in economics and politics, he was involved in simulations and problem-solving activities. He was a member of the University of Montreal’s United Nations Delegation (DDNUUM) and took part in HEC’s World Trade Organization Simulation (SimOMC). He was also a faculty advisor for the DDNUUM.
