Julia returns to Miller Thomson as an Articling Student after completing a summer placement with the firm in 2018. Julia obtained her Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2020. During her time at the Faculty of Law, Julia volunteered with Student Legal Service and Law Show. Julia was also a member of the Editorial Board of the Alberta Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, Julia obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance at the University of British Columbia. While completing her undergraduate degree, Julia assisted in fundraising efforts for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and volunteered at the BC SPCA. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree and before commencing her legal studies, Julia worked in Human Resources at a large oil and gas company.
Julia has been fortunate to receive multiple academic awards and distinctions, including placement on the Faculty of Law Dean’s List, the Juriliber Scholarship, and the Jason Lang scholarship.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
