John-David D’Souza graduated from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law in 2019. During his studies at the University of Calgary John-David placed on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of several awards for academic excellence. Prior to law school John-David studied management at the University of Lethbridge with a focus on finance and accounting. During his undergraduate degree John-David was on the Dean’s list during every year of study. He was also recipient of several awards for academic merit including the Louise McKinny award in 2015 and 2016, and the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society Award.
Prior to attending law school John-David gained experience working in the residential property management industry for over 7 years and is currently licensed as a real estate broker in Alberta. John-David also gained experience in the energy sector as a business analyst with a large fully integrated oil and gas company in Alberta.
John-David enjoys both volunteering and travel and was able to combine the two interests when he had the opportunity to work in Amman, Jordan for two year. During this time John-David was involved with training volunteers for the local hospitals as well as a project to establish children’s libraries throughout rural Jordan. While at the University of Calgary John-David was also involved with Student Legal Assistance in providing legal services to low income individuals.
John-David loves the outdoors and when not studying or working you can find him playing soccer or fine-tuning his swing out on a golf course.
