Jeremie received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. While at law school, Jeremie excelled at various oral advocacy and business competitions, placing 1st at the University of Toronto Client Consultation Competition, 1st at the BCG Business Law Case Competition, 2nd at the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada, and semi-finalist at the Canadian Client Consultation Competition. Academically, he received a Standing of Distinction, ranking in the top 10% of his class, in his graduating year.
Prior to attending law school, Jeremie received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in accounting. He previously worked with various First Nation communities as a Project Officer with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. He also previously worked as a Marketing Officer for a privately-owned manufacturing company in Vancouver.
Jeremie is an active member of his community. He co-directed and coached at the University of Toronto Client Consultation Competition. He was a member of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association and volunteered as an associate editor for the Indigenous Law Journal. He also joined various sporting teams and events including: Law Games in 2017 and 2018, and Inner Tube Water Polo.
Jeremie is an avid Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Raptors fan. In his spare time, he enjoys playing spikeball, travelling, and running.
