Hayden is excited to join Miller Thomson after spending two summer terms with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). Hayden completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Saskatchewan, convocating in June 2020.
Prior to entering law school, Hayden obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Regina. He then worked for nearly two years at a marketing firm where he was a leader in product development, training and social media marketing.
Hayden held the position of Vice-President Academic Affairs on the Law Student’s Association. In this position, he was consistently engaged with his fellow students’ academic concerns and voiced these concerns to the Dean of Law as the students’ advocate. Being an executive member, he was often engaged in important discussions and votes with the rest of the executive that directly impacted the student body.
In his final year of law school, Hayden attended the 2020 Canadian National Negotiation Competition held in Fredericton, New Brunswick where he and his partner placed third among all competitors. This competition included three rounds against teams from across the country and one round negotiating with three other teams at once.
Hayden also enjoyed being the captain of the College of Law dodgeball team and played on the basketball team as well. He was a member of the board of directors for Legal Follies which is an annual fundraising event that supports a local charity.
In his free time, Hayden enjoys travelling both near and far, watching movies and golfing. He has proudly been to every province in Canada and hopes to add the three territories to his list in the future.
