Overview

Émilie has a combined degree in Civil Law and Common Law from Université de Montréal. During her studies, she volunteered at the Clinique juridique pour les droits des victimes d’actes criminels. She also worked for the federal Department of Justice on various international cooperation projects with Mexico.

Before studying law, Émilie earned a degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from University of Ottawa. During her studies, she worked for various federal departments on matters relating to immigration and labour law. She also did an international internship in Ghana, where she worked at the Human Rights Advocacy Center. Émilie was part of the student debate society and joined several tournaments. She is very active and practices various sports, including mixed martial arts, hockey and indoor cycling.
