Annafaye Dunbar

Annafaye Dunbar completed her B.C.L. and J.D. at the Faculty of Law at McGill University in December 2020. Before law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Honours International Development Studies at McGill University, where she graduated with distinction.

During law school, Annafaye took on a leadership role as the Managing Editor of the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law. In this role, she managed a team of associates and oversaw the journal’s business activities, honing her entrepreneurial skills. She also worked as a volunteer caseworker at the Concordia Student Union Legal Information Clinic and the COVID Law Hive.

Before joining Miller Thomson, Annafaye held internship positions at two multinational corporations and an international organization, which have allowed her to gain experience in diverse areas of law.

Before beginning her legal studies, she also worked at one of the world’s leading think tanks in Washington, D.C., where she worked to coordinate events featuring world leaders. Through her experiences, she has honed her ability to engage in strategic problem solving, focus on detail and business requirements, and be responsive to the changing demands of stakeholders.

Having lived and worked in different countries, Annafaye enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside, running and doing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
