Abbie has recently completed her second year at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law, and will be returning in the fall of 2019 to complete her final year. While studying this past year, Abbie the Vice-President of Administration on her College’s Law Students’ Association, as well as being the Vice-President of the Corporate Law Club. Before law school, Abbie completed three years of her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Paul J. Hill’s Business School at the University of Regina and attained her full degree in October of 2018.

While at the Paul J. Hill School of Business, Abbie was a member of the Business Students’ Society and competed at the JDC West Competition, participating in the sport and case teams. These extracurricular activities allowed Abbie to cultivate her interpersonal and networking skills. Abbie has experience working in the private and public sector at Western Surety Company and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture’s Agriculture Awareness Unit. Abbie is an active member at the College of Law, involving herself in volunteering activities, intramural sports, and College clubs. In her second year, Abbie will be Vice President of Administration with the Law Students Association and the Vice President of the Corporate Law Club.

In her spare time Abbie enjoys teaching spin classes, spending time with her family, playing ringette, and traveling. While studying aboard at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland Abbie visited 11 countries, learning about different cultures, food and the benefits of a well-designed budget. This international exchange provided her with the opportunity to learn from some of the top minds at the number one rated business school in the U.K. on topics such as Destination Marketing, International Strategic Marketing and Event Management.

Following an active lifestyle, Abbie has had the opportunity to play on National and Provincial ringette teams. Most noteworthy tournaments that she has competed in are the U19 World Ringette Championships, Canadian Winter Games, Canadian Ringette Championships and Western Canadian Ringette Championships.

During her second year of law school Abbie was involved in the Law Students’ Association as the Vice-President of Administration, as well as, being the Vice-President of the Corporate Law Club. Both roles helped develop her legal critical thinking and understanding of working in a team setting.
