Vancouver launch of Canadian Customs Law and Miller Thomson on Estate Planning

10 mai 2013 | Sandra L. Enticknap, KC, TEP, Karen L. Weslowski | Vancouver

The Vancouver office hosted a joint book launch last month to celebrate two recent publications written by Miller Thomson lawyers.  The reception was a great success and follows a similar event held in Toronto in November.

Canadian Customs Law

Authored by Daniel Kiselbach and Katherine Xilinas in our International Trade, Customs and Commodity Tax group, and Angelos Xilinas of KPMG, Canadian Customs Law provides an overview of the laws, cases and policies that govern customs in Canada.

Lisa Zajko, Indirect Tax Manager at Deloitte, kindly said a few words about the authors, and the book, the first comprehensive title on customs law published since 1968.

Miller Thomson on Estate Planning (MTEP)

30 lawyers in our Private Client and Tax groups, including Sandra Enticknap, Cheryl Teron, and Karen Weslowski in Vancouver, contributed to MTEP. The two-volume guide offers a comprehensive analysis of tax and legal issues in Canadian estate planning and administration.

Along with Editor-in-Chief, Martin Rochwerg, we were honoured to have Dr. Donovan Waters, Q.C., one of Canada’s leading experts in the law of Trusts, attend the launch and speak about the guide.  Dr. Waters’ presence at the event was an endorsement for MTEP and our firm in estate planning circles.

Miller Thomson proudly congratulates all the authors and editors on their notable accomplishment.

Both publications are available from Carswell. For more information, or to order a copy, please visit their website.
