Biographie
( Disponible en anglais seulement )Trent Johnson is a Partner in the Guelph office of Miller Thomson LLP. He joined us after completing his articles with the firm upon his call to the Bar in July 2005. His primary practice areas include construction litigation where he acts for owners, general contractors and subcontractors; estate litigation where he acts for estates, executors and beneficiaries; and employment litigation where he acts for employers and employees in wrongful dismissal claims and human rights complaints. Trent is also experienced in commercial tenancy disputes, debt collection, and insurance defence litigation. Trent assists clients in identifying sound, practical business solutions with a results-oriented approach.
Trent frequently appears for clients before all levels of court in Ontario. Trent has appeared before tribunals, the Ontario Municipal Board, the Small Claims Court, the Provincial Offences Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Trent has also assisted in the preparation of submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Outside the practice of law, Trent is involved with a number of community organizations and enjoys competing in duathlons and various sports in Guelph.
